Virtually 100% of the use of these machines has been using iCut software. We are a wide format digital printer, mainly printing on flexible banner vinyls, pressure sensitive vinyl and all manner of board stocks, foamcore, gatorfoam, MDO, MDF alucobond, dibond, plyboo etc.Ĥ8” is really our minimum width, and we print up to 192” wide (although we can only cut up to 126” wide currently) The Thermwood is brand new and is just being installed this week… my new baby! I'm sure it is something simple but I can't find it.I am a newbie here in the forum, but have spent quite a few hours lurking here and this SMC forum seems to be a good place for me to learn a bit. I have created the lettering toolpath that I want to engrave on the 3d model, but can't for the life of me find how to get the lettering to project onto the model. I am assuming at this point that I have not properly 'defined a 3D model' I have imported a model into Cut 3d and sized it and saved it then imported it into V-Carve along with the associated toolpaths for roughing and finishing.

I am trying to engrave lettering onto a curved surface of a 3d model, but can't find this 'option' to check the box on. If this option is checked then after the toolpath has been calculated, it will be projected (or ‘dropped’) down in Z onto the surface of the 3D model' This option is only available if a 3D model has been defined. Quoting from the V-Carve help file with the program I quote: I have seen the indication that a tool path can be projected onto a 3d model.
